The roots of The Farmer’s Pride grow deep in Kentucky. Farmland Publications, Inc. was established in May 1989 and the first issue of ‘The Pride’ was published June 26, 1989. The Farmer’s Pride has always been published in rural Adair County in south central Kentucky. When other publications adapted to changes in the industry by becoming multi-state publications, Publisher Sharon Burton made the decision to keep The Pride focused on her home state, covering the farm community that she has always loved. The Pride has generated a following across the Bluegrass state because it continues to provide ‘Hometown News for Kentucky’s Farm Community.’
We have worked hard to successfully establish the Pride as a well-respected source of reliable news and commentary for Kentucky farmers. We thank our readers and our advertisers for your continued support.
